Summer 2007: Creative Ventures

Art Kings – More than 10 years ago, Jeff Matheson and Dan McKinnon created a comic book called 2-Headed Giant; this 64 page independent book was chosen by both Diamond and Capital (now absorbed by Diamond) Distributors as one of the small press books of the month for November, 1995.

This book marked an introduction to a couple of comic book properties, Eagleheart and The Cavalier and the Cutthroat. These two fantasy epics will be featured as the cornerstone projects of a free ongoing anthology comic website beginning in November (some 12 years after their comic industry premiere).

We have some other friends in the comic and animation industry who have expressed an interest in becoming involved and hope to attract a new generation of talented storytellers to make an impressive venue for stories and artwork!

One of the goals of High Concept is to make sure we commit time to developing new creative ventures that keep our skills and imagination working in new ways that our conventional design projects don’t always give us the opportunity to explore.
