Introduction
I want to welcome you to the first issue of the High Concept
Newsletter. This newsletter is our opportunity to share some of
the secrets of effective design and marketing in the form of
specific technical methods, best practices, tools and general
philosophies. We will publish this quarterly.
First off, it is only appropriate that we tell you a little
about our organization. High Concept is a consulting company
that provides custom design and marketing solutions. We
specialize in solutions for technical-based industries such as
architecture, engineering, manufacturing and the film and game
markets. We offer design services, software and training; the
High Concept team has extensive experience in 3D design, custom
illustration, as well as print, web and multimedia.
We are idea people with a love of all creative mediums and
have our own creative passions ranging from storytelling, film,
and gaming to traditional paint and canvas. We are problem
solvers who have our heads in the clouds but our feet firmly
planted on the ground. The High Concept staff has extensive
experience to draw upon while maintaining a fresh perspective
which comes from collaborating with our clients to design
one-of-a-kind solutions.
Our organization is about much more than sharing knowledge
with our passion – it is first and foremost about INTEGRITY.
Integrity is why we banded together, the integrity of a design
that suits its purpose and the integrity of our relationship
with ourselves and our clients. Too many times, we see a focus
on the bottom line at the cost of all that is important to us
personally; we see it in business, in politics, in our favourite
artists and sports teams. At High Concept, we believe that
integrity is the most important principle that we can adhere to
– that if we put it first and then do our job diligently with
good tools and our best efforts we will create greatness.
